Westminster Council among the latest to join the Vision Zero Community

Westminster City Council is one of the latest organisations to join the Vision Zero Community - the UK’s only dedicated platform for professionals working to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on the roads.

Powered by Co-Pilot, the Vision Zero Community brings together road safety professionals from across the country to collaborate, share knowledge and accelerate progress towards safer streets through the Safe System approach.

As a member, Westminster City Council will benefit from shared learning, peer-to-peer support and continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities, while contributing its own expertise to the national conversation.

They join a growing number of local authorities, safer roads partnerships and organisations across the UK who are uniting behind a shared ambition to prevent collisions and end the needless human cost of road crashes.

James Evans, Founder and CEO of Co-Pilot, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Westminster City Council into the Vision Zero Community. Their decision to join reflects a strong commitment to working collaboratively and to learning from others who share the same ambition of eliminating deaths and serious injuries on our roads.

“With the Government’s new Road Safety Strategy expected soon, this is a pivotal moment for the sector. By coming together now, members of the Community can share best practice and be ready to take action collectively when the strategy is published.”

Carla Leowe, Road Safety Officer at Westminster City Council, said: "I am pleased to be joining Co-Pilot and other road safety professionals that support and make up the Vision Zero Community.

“I am looking forward to sharing best practice and utilising our joint expertise and knowledge to reduce killed and seriously injured casualties in line with Vision Zero in London by 2041.

”I look forward to being a part of this road safety community."
