GoDrive 3.0: the pre-driver intervention is being rebuilt from the ground up
Gifted to Co-Pilot by Thames Valley Police, GoDrive will relaunch as a Toolbox-exclusive resource by the end of 2026.
GoDrive has been the go-to pre-driver intervention for fire and rescue services and road safety teams for years. Thames Valley Police have now gifted it to Co-Pilot on one condition: that a new version is made. GoDrive 3.0 is in production, with a working group of members meeting fortnightly to shape it.

The new version is modular: five sections, each a self-contained film with a facilitated task, covering learning to drive, buying a first car, passengers and fitness to drive, distraction and speed, and the first months on the road. It is built on an intervention plan by Dr Elizabeth Box, with young people involved in co-design before anything is filmed.
The call for a young co-presenter drew more than 500 applications. Filming follows this autumn, with release to Toolbox members targeted for the end of the year, when GoDrive will move out of the NFCC toolkit and become exclusive to the Toolbox.
