Together towards zero: Welcoming Portsmouth City Council to the Vision Zero Community

Achieving Vision Zero demands collaboration, innovation and a willingness to think differently about how we prevent road harm.

That’s why it’s great to see Portsmouth City Council become the latest organisation to join the Vision Zero Community, powered by Co-Pilot -the UK’s growing network of professionals driving progress towards zero deaths and serious injuries on our roads.

Members of the Community are working together to share insight, build capability and accelerate Safe System delivery - creating a collaborative environment where local authorities, safer roads partnerships, emergency services and industry experts can learn from each other and move faster towards safer streets.

Portsmouth brings valuable experience and a strong track record in embedding Safe System principles into local decision making. By joining the network, the Council will both contribute to and benefit from the collective intelligence and shared learning that make the Community so effective.

James Evans, Founder and CEO of Co-Pilot, said: “It’s fantastic to see Portsmouth City Council become part of this growing movement. Their decision reflects a clear commitment to learning, innovation and collaboration - all essential to achieving safer streets and zero road deaths.”

As the national conversation on road safety gathers pace and the Government’s new Road Safety Strategy approaches, there’s never been a more important time to connect, collaborate and stay ahead of change.

The Vision Zero Community is where that happens. Join us here.
