Bath & North East Somerset on reducing road harm together

We’re continuing our Vision Zero Voices series - shining a light on the people working every day to prevent road death and serious injury.

This month, we hear from David Boardman FIHE, Senior Engineer in the Road Safety Team at Bath & North East Somerset Council, on what the Co-Pilot Vision Zero Toolbox & Community brings to his work:

"The Vision Zero Community provides me with a space where people are genuinely engaged in solving the same problem. Every member brings different experiences from a wide range of disciplines, but with the shared purpose of reducing road harm - something that is evident in every discussion.

"The discussions within the Community help me not only improve my own capabilities but also give me access to the tools and people that allow me to test ideas before taking them further.

"The resources created by the Community to date have been a real game changer in the way we work, giving my team greater confidence in using road safety resources, knowing they have been evaluated and checked by leading experts in the field."
