Help shape the UK’s next decade of road safety policy
It’s a busy time for road safety professionals.
After more than a decade of waiting, the UK Road Safety Strategy was finally published earlier this year. The consultation deadline has now been extended until May - but another important deadline is fast approaching.
The Transport Committee’s Call for Evidence closes on Friday 13 March. The inquiry will examine whether current plans are ambitious enough to deliver a 65% reduction in deaths and serious injuries by 2035.
This is a rare opportunity for practitioners to help shape the UK’s next decade of road safety policy. Evidence from those closest to the problem is essential if policy is to translate into real-world change.
If you have insight to share, we strongly encourage you to contribute.
