AutoNinja - ADAS awareness
Many drivers do not know what safety technology their car has, or switch it off because it annoys them. Eighteen short films, presented by motoring expert Rebecca Jackson, explain each system and how to get the best from it.
What it is
Lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, e-call, adaptive cruise control and more - each film takes one system and explains what it does, why it matters and how to use it. E-call has been mandatory since 2018 and lane keep assist since 2022, yet awareness of both remains low.
The intervention is designed for deployment online or through new and used car dealerships and service centres, with a vehicle-specific printed resource to signpost buyers to the features on their own car. It has other uses too, in driver training and insurance.

Why it is needed
Research consistently shows drivers misunderstand or distrust key safety features and disable systems they do not know how to adjust. Clear, impartial guidance makes drivers more likely to leave systems on, which is where the casualty benefit comes from.
